Fairytale Wedding

Once again I am making this card for two challenges. The first one is Magnolia Down Under and I won the top five again last week. Just had to share that with everyone. Their challenge is the sketch that I used. The other will be for Just Magnolia who's challenge this week is to make an Easel Card. After I finished the card I then tried my hand at making an envelope box. I will have to make more of them since it was pretty easy. I had this all finished and setting out on the table ready to take photos of it when my daughter who is home from college this week walked by and put dibs (as she called it) on this card to give to her friend who will be getting married this summer. Now for the card. My DP is by Basic Grey's Green at Heart line. The solid papers including the envelope is by Bazzill. I, as usual, distressed all edges and inked them with Ranger's Tea Dye distress ink. My image is one from the newest Fairytale Collection. I also added some mesh behind the center to add a little something different. All my bling is from a pack I bought at a stamping show I went to this past weekend by Crafty Secrets Vintage Bling. I used my Labels Five nestie for all images and sentiment. I also used the MS lace border punch on the front and back of the envelope. Here is a closeup of my cuties which I colored with my Copics.

I'm off on Sunday to get Copic Certified.
Here is my Copics:
Skin: E000, E00, E11 & R20 on cheeks.
Dress: C0, C1
Suit: E40, E41, E42, E43, E44

Happy Birthday Just Magnolia

Well, to start off I just have to mention that I won last week over at Magnolia Down Under. That was a surprise and I LOVED IT! (he, he). And for this week there challenge is Birthday because this happens to be Magnolia Down Under's 1st Birthday and to celebrate they are having a Blog Hop. You should hop on over and check it out. HERE.

Here is my entry for the challenge and I am also going to enter it in the Magnolia-licious Sketch Challenge.
For the card I have used printed papers from Fancy Pant's Road Show Set and cardstock by Bazzill. I have distressed and inked all my edges with Ranger Distress Ink. I then used the chisel tip end of my Copic marker and made the dashes around all the layers. I added some lace from my stash and brads in all the corner by SU. The larger flower in the middle is from Magnolia and the smaller ones are Prima. I added some half pearls to the centers which are also from SU. I added some leaves and greenery underneath the flowers. I colored my cute little Flower Girl by Magnolia with Copics and added the Happy Birthday which is stamped inside of a oval cut with my nestie. Here is a closer look and a list of my colors.

News Flash

Here is a gift card holder I made for the Magnolia Down Under Challenge. The challenge was to use 3 papers, 3 flowers, 2 buttons, and 1 bow. I also will be entering it in the StampsRus Challenge. It calls for distressing. Some other exciting news is I will be taking the Copic Certification Class on March 28th. I am so EXCITED.
If you slide it open you can place a gift card inside. Then when they remove the card it says Happy Birthday. Here it is opened up.
I have used papers from My Mind's Eye. I distressed all the edges and then sewed them on. I used my nestie to cut out the Happy Birthday layers on the inside and I cut out New Flash on my Cricut. I colored Tilda with Copics and attached her with some foam squares. I added two buttons, 3 flowers and 1 bow to qualify for the challenge. Here is a list of the Copic colors I used.

Explosion Box

Well, first off today I would like to brag about making the Top Five over at Magnolia Down Under Challenge. I was so excited to read my name that I yelled out Yippee and of course everyone else in the house thought I was nuts. When asked what I won, I told them I get to put a badge on my blog that says I won. They didn't get the excitement in that. Men.

For today I have made and explosion box for the Just Magnolia Challenge. The Challenge this week is Birthday. It took me awhile to get all the images colored and of course while I was coloring this weekend, the guys in my house had to tease me about not growing up yet because I still like to play with markers.

I have used papers from BasicGrey's Eskimo Kisses Line and cardstock from Bazzill. For the stamps I used Unwrapped Tilda, Chef Tilda, and Sweet Tilda along with some of the Butterflies all from Magnolia. I used all the same color markers for all the images and they are listed below. I also used a stamp for the inside bottom by Great Impression that is about missing your birthday. Oops. I have inked all edges and layered all images with my nesties. I used my Cricut to cutout Happy Birthday twice, once on the top and again inside.

I have layered some Prima Flowers on the top and side of the lid. I also used a little lace around the top edge of the lid. Since it was a late birthday, I had to fill it with chocolate kisses.

Here is a list of the Copic colors that I used. I am not going into detail as to where I used each color this time.
E0000, E000, E00, E11, E13, E21, E25, E27. E29, E31, E40, E41, E42, E43, E55, E47
R000, R00, R20, R21, R29
YG63, G20
C1, C3, C5, C7, W2, W3
Sharpie for highlights.

Thanks again for stopping by.

The challenge was to Dazzle Them. All pattern paper is from Fancy Pants Road Show Set and the cardstock is Bazzill. I layered 3 different prints and distressed and inked all edges. I added a border punch by MS but it is hard to see underneath everything. I added some flowers from Prima and tied a bow around the edge. I colored my adorable Tilda with Copics and here are the colors.

Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11
Cheeks: R20
Hair: E31, E33, E35, E57

Think Spring

Finally, I got a couple of cards made today. It was very refreshing to just sit down and color. I have made this card for both the Just Magnolia and the Magnolia Down Under Challenges. You can check them out by clicking on them in my side bar.

I love the easel cards. There so much fun to decorate. Of course I colored everything with my Copics and the numbers are listed below. All papers are by Imaginisce Lucy Bird Collection. I inked all edges with Distress Ink and then sewed everything down. I used the border punch and the butterfly punch both by Martha and added some little rhinestones to the center of each flower. I put some Flower Soft on the bumble bee. You probably can't really tell in the photo. I then took a cream flower by Prima and used my Copic air gun to color the flower. I sat Tilda on the brick wall and layered it with some squares cut with the nesties. I then tied off a pink ribbon to hold the card up into the easel position.

Here is a list of the Copics:
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, and R20 for cheeks.
Hair: E53, E55, E57, E59
Wall: C1, C3, C5, C7, C9

Socks: YG17, YG 19

Thank you for being patient with me.

February Calendar

Wow, this was fun to make. I used my Cricut for the first time in a long time. I used the Calendar cartridge for all the numbers and to cut out Valentines Day. It's kinda hard to tell but the bottom say "I then a heart Magnolia." I colored all the Magnolia images on the top with my Copics cut them out and then added them to the Topper. February is also from the Calendar cartridge. Everything is magnetic so that it can all be changed each month easily. I added the flowers ribbon and rhinestones from my stash.

Your Peachy

This is probably one of my favorite cards I have made so far. I have used Peachy Tilda and colored her with my Copics. I did not keep track of the colors on this one either. Sorry.

For the card I used Bazzill for the base and all printed paper is by Magnolia. I used my Nesties for the four squares in the background and also for the rectangle for Tilda. I then added some flowers and rhinestones in the upper corner, tied a ribbon around it with a bow. I then computer printed Just Peachy on Bazzill cardstock and punched with a SU punch and stuck it to the inside of an oval tag by Making Memories and tied it around the middle of the bow.

Thats all for now.

Valentines Day

Here is a Valentines Day Card I made using Cherry Tilda. I colored her with my Copics awhile back and did not keep track of which ones I used. The card base is by Bazzill and the printed paper is some old paper I found stashed away. All ribbon, buttons and pearls are from my stash. The heart tag is by Making Memories. I also used my Nesties for the ovals. Hope you enjoy.

I had a really hard time finding a layout that I was happy with here. I finally settled for this one. I used printed paper from Basic Grey and cardstock from Bazzill. Edwin is colored using Copics and cutout and set in squares cut from Nesties. I then inked all edges with Black Soot Distress Ink by Ranger and then sewed everything down. I cut the photo corners with a punch from EK Success and layered some flowers with rhinestones on opposite corners and called it good.

Here is a list of Copics I used:
Skin: Eoooo, Eooo, Eoo, E11, R20 on cheeks.
Band Aid: E51, E53, E55

Dream Big

This card was originally supposed to be for the Just Magnolia Challenge. We were to use pleats. I just did not get this finished in time. I have pleated paper by K & Co and then cut and stitched it around the edge of my card. All solid cardstock is by Bazzill. I colored Edwin with his guitar with my Copics and then layered him in ovals cut with my Nesties. I then added buttons on all four corners with a bit of twine tied into little bows. That was pretty much all I did. Not sure why I did not get it done in time for the challenge. Oh well.

Here is a list of the Copics I used:
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, and R20 for cheeks.
Pants: B13, B18, B21, B39
Shirt: G21, G85, G94

Dreamy Tilda Thank You

Here is a set of little thank you notes that I made for my oldest daughter. She is the one that gave me this image for Christmas. For the card I used Bazzill cardstock and printed cardstock from K & Co from a few years past. I cut the squares with my Nesties and layered them. I then colored this little cutie called Dreamy Tilda with my Copics. I inked all the edges with Old Paper distress ink by Ranger and doodled some lines on the edges.

Here is a list of the Copics that I have used.

Love to Travel

I made this card for some friends that we will be cruising with in 2 weeks. We will be cruising through the Panama Canal. Can't wait. I also used the Glitterbee's Challenge for the design.

I colored this Traveling Edwin sitting on his suitcases with the Ranger Distress Inks on watercolor paper. I really like how it turned out. I might have to start using them a little more. The entire card is made with Bazzill cardstock and the Travel stamp is from Technique Tuesday. I corner punched the yellow and added some rhinestones and a button, both of which are from my overflowing stash. I used my nesties for the circles. I think thats it.

Baby Card

Okay, I'm back from my little New Year's vacation.

I made this card about a week ago while I was scrapping with my sister. Although, I did not get the Copic numbers written down before I cleaned up my mess.

The paper is from Basic Grey called Oh Baby and the base is Bazzill. I colored my new little Baby Tilda with my Copics and set her inside of some layered circles from my Nesties collection. I used some pink rhinestones on her pjs for the buttons. I also used some glitter on her wings and added some ribbon and a button slide. The tabs on the side were cut with my tab punch by McGill. I added a sentiment on the inside that reads "Sharring in the happiness of your wonderful news!"

Sorry about not being able to tell you what Copics I used but I would be just guessing at this point. Here is a closeup of her.

Sisterhood #29

I'm posting for my new group of sisters at SBS #29.

I'm really excited to start this group and to get to know everybody. I am also part of the Glitterbees and Stamps R Us groups. We should all have a lot of fun in 2010.

I am supposed to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about me. I am Kellie and I live in Eastern Oregon. I have been married to Vince for 26 years. I have 3 children and they are Jessica who is 23, Tiffany 21, and a son, Dustin, who is 16 and driving, yikes. They are all super.

We farm here in Oregon which has allowed me the opportunity to be a stay at home mom since my 3 child was born. Although, I do get put into a truck, tractor or combine on occasion. In 1999 I opened my very own retail scrapbook store. I then sold it 4 years later. I just got started in cardmaking about a year ago. Now, that seems to be my passion, I actually get a project completed.

Enough about me. Looking forward to meeting all my new sisters.

SHOPAHOLIC

Hope everybody had a Merry Christmas and is looking forward to the New year.

I received the winter stamp kit from Magnolia just before Christmas and was unable to play with them. In the kit was this little lady. Not sure what they call her but she looked like she was missing something in her hand. So, I had to add a shopping bag that is supposed to resemble Victoria's Secret with tissue coming out the top and is attached with foam squares for a little dimension. I added some shimmer to her wings but you can't tell from the photo. I colored her with Copic marker cut her out and attached her to circles cut with my Nesties. I then added the flower from my stash and the pearls are from SU.

Copics I used:
Face: E0000, E000, E00, E11
Cheeks: R20
Wings: G20
Dress: R21, R32, R83
Shoes/Hair: C1, C3, C5, C7
Rose: R29, R46

Hang in There

Wow, what a busy time of year. I know I am. Cleaning house, doing laundry, wrapping presents, checking the list to make sure you didn't forget anybody, and then checking it again just in case. I received a little present in the mail yesterday from Magnolia. It was my very first stamp kit. Inside was this adorable hanging Tilda. Of course there were many others but I decided to use this one first. I had some paper from Creative Imaginations that I have been dying to use. This paper is so cute and could be used for some really cute Mickey pages as well.

This card was made for the Just Magnolia Challenge. I distressed all the edges and then did some paper piercing and inking of the edges. Of course I colored Tilda with my Copics and added the buttons, bows, flowers, and ribbon to match the sketch.
Copics used:
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11
Cheeks: R20
Hair/Pants: C1, C3, C5, C7
Shirt/Socks: R27, R29, R46, Y11, Y13, Y15, Y17

Thanks for stopping by at such a busy time of year.

Just Magnolia Challenge

Finally, I got one done. I made this card for the Just Magnolia Challenge. They put up a new challenge each Friday. This is my very first time entering. The challenge was to make a card, anything Christmassy.

I decided to use Tilda with a Glitter Halo. She is sitting inside the oval cut with a nestie which is inside the square scalloped nestie. The card base is cardstock by Bazzill. All other paper is from Magnolia's Christmas line. I colored Tilda with Copics and then used some antique linen Stickles on the wings and halo. The center strip is a stamp from Hampton Art with Twas the Night Before Christmas saying. I inked all the edges with Old Paper Distress Ink. I added a bow, flowers, brads, and some rhinestones to bling it up a little. Oh, I also gold embossed some of the edges. I then made and envelope out of Magnolia paper. I had to use two different sheets to get it big enough to fit a 6 X 6 card.

Here is a list of the copics I used:
Skin: E0000, 000, 11, & R20 on cheeks.
Hair: E51, 55, 57, 59.
Dress and socks: R27, 39, 46
Shirt and socks: G85, BG96, 99.
Colorless Blender.

Oops Your 50

I made this easel card for my sister's 50th Birthday. Happy Birthday Sis! I had a hard time figuring out how to use the oops since I did not forget her birthday, then it came to me, dang, she's 50 years old. Sure glad she is older. Ha. Hope she enjoys it.

For this card I used Oops Tilda and the stove both from Magnolia. The Happy Birthday and the oops were both computer generated. The printed paper is Basic Grey's Nook & Pantry Line. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz ink and colored the images with Copics. For the flower I found an old punch by Emaginations that cuts different sizes of petals and then I layered them together. The border punch has no name on it and I can't remember who it was but it is a new one. I tied ribbon around it to hold it in the easel position.

Here is a photo of the copics that I used. Hopefully, this time I did not leave any out and I was asked about the reds in the last one, but since I added new reds to my collection while I was Christmas shopping. Oops. I 'm not sure which ones they were.

Tammy, your card will be postal on Monday. Happy Birthday.

Thanks for stopping by.

Here is another Christmas Card. Sure do love the Holiday Season. All the lights and Christmas music just seems so festive. I am gone doing a little Christmas shopping hoping that St. Nick can bring all the wish list items possible. So far I'm having a little difficulty. You see my son just wants a rather large dog. Yip, a Great Dane which he would call Scooby. Yikes!

Back to my card. I used printed paper by Imaginisce called Twinkle Toes. Bazzill cardstock. Ribbon was from SU and the flowers and buttons from stash. The stamp is called Tilda and Edwin Skating from none other than Magnolia. I colored them using Copics and you can see all the colors below. I used my nesties to cut them out. I also used a nestie for the Happy Holidays at the bottom.

Color Comparisons Results

I decided to put this up a little early since I am going to be gone Christmas Shopping for the next couple of days. It looks like #3 took the most votes. Of course it is Copics. That is my personal favorite also. Although, the Ranger Distress Inks color very nicely and I think with more practice they will become something I will use more often. If you have not tried them I encourage you to do so. You might be surprised.

Thanks for visiting.

Stamps R Us Challenge #1

I made this for the Stamps R Us Challenge. We were to follow the sketch over at Mercy's blog. Here is a copy of what it looks like.

I started with red cardstock by Bazzill and then layered it with paper from My Mind's Eye Be Marry Collection. I used the border punch by MS and put little gems in the center of each design. I inked the edges of everything and then drug out the sewing machine and sewed around each piece. I used the Houses stamp by Magnolia and colored using my Copics. I added Liquid Applique and some glitter to the roofs to make them look a little wintery. I stamped Merry Christmas with a clear stamp that has no identity. I added a red bow and stamped a sentiment inside from the same clear stamp set with no identity.

Here are my copic colors:

Chilly Tilda in Winter Wonderland

Good Morning. Well, I finally received one of my three Magnolia orders. Of course it did not include the new Holiday ones but I'm told they are not far away. I guess I just ordered mine too late. I did get some wintery ones like this one called Chilly Tilda and she is sitting on the Winter Bench. I had so much fun coloring this one. Notice the silver edging it is from Flower Soft and I love what it adds to a card.
Here is a photo of the Copics that I used.
Copics: Face: E0000, 000,00, 11 & R20 for cheeks. Clothing: BG13, 45, 49, E25, 29, 53, 59.
Hair: C1, 3, 5, 7, 9. Wings: B00. I also used B00 to shade around the image.
Stamps: Chilly Tilda and Winter Bench by Magnolia. Winter Wonderland by Autumn Leaves.
Paper: Cardstock by Bazzill. Printed by Magnolia.
Silver Edging: by Flower Soft. You gotta love this.
Nesties: Large Deckled Rectangle.
Buttons and Ribbon from my stash. I did color the white ribbon with Turquoise Blue Glimmer Mist. Liquid Applique for the snow and I used some glitter glue by Carolees.
Here is a close-up of Tilda:
Thank you for stopping by and as usual I always love your comments.

Color Comparisons

Well, I hope everybody had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I know I did. We spent it on the mountain with the snowmobiles. It was all good with the exception that Tiffany our 21 year old went snowboarding for the first time with her older sister Jessica. She came back with a broken wrist. She was really only worried about how she was going to complete her finals.

As for me, since I could not pack all my supplies to make cards I just took all my coloring mediums and colored this cute little Magnolia stamp called Cherry Tilda. I have colored it using Copics, Watercolor Crayons, Watercolor Pencils, and Ranger Distress Ink. I would like everybody to leave a comment on which number is their favorite. Next Monday I will announce which one is which and which one had the most votes.

Oops I Forgot

I thought this was the cutest image for a forgotten birthday.

I used Oops Tilda from the A Little Yummy For Your Tummy Collection. I have colored her using Copics. The paper is also from Magnolia's Yummy Collection called Blue Candy Plaid and Candy. I added some ribbon and brads. I have also decorated the inside of the card. I used the same image and papers again but added some flowers to one side. Here is a photo of the inside.

Hope you enjoy! Thanks for stopping by.

Blueberry Tilda

This is one of the newer stamps by Magnolia called Blueberry Tilda. I colored her using Copics and then layered a second layer on the blueberries to add a little depth. All the printed paper is by Magnolia and the cardstock is from Bazzill. Everything else is from my personal stash.

I am waiting to get some of the new Magnolia holiday stamps which are not shipping yet. I just hope we all get them in time to make some really cute Christmas Cards.

Why Nothing New!

Sorry for not having anything new in the past few days but I received the new Magnolia Ink Magazine a couple of days ago and decided to create a few items to submit for entry into the next issue. Wish me luck, there are so many talented designers out there that it will be a tough job to win. But you can't win if you don't try.

I have also ordered the fall/winter kit which I am anxiously waiting for. If any of you have ever wondered what was inside that box I will be taking a photo of mine when it comes so you can see. I know it will be wonderful. You can order yours over at Magnolia.nu.

This was a fun card to make. First of all I stamped the Christmas Tree and then colored it with my Copics. Then, I added Flower Soft to make it look real. You can't really tell by the photo but it really added detail to this card. I'm SO hooked on Flower Soft. I also added some rhinestones for extra bulbs.
Then, I colored Tilda with my Copics and cut her out and attached her using 3-D squares. I also used some Stickles and Glitter on her wings and on the bulbs in her basket.
Other supplies used: Mega Nestie curved rectangle, ribbon, snowflake punch, cardstock by Bazzill, printed by Imaginisce and I also used some Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels.
Hope you enjoy.
